Real Estate Blues

Our house has been on the market for less than a week and I'm already tired of keeping it clean. *grumble, grumble, grumble* We exhausted ourselves sorting out our "junk", packing some of it away, delivering some to the thrift shop, and spiffing the place up with some painting and general....ummm.....spiffing! :-) The Tramp installed a new vanity in the master bath and I got down on my hands and knees and attacked the dog hair on and around the baseboards. Carpet shampooing is another "fun" (NOT!) activity I've been indulging in. I've also spent a bit of time up on the ladder and discovered that the top half of my walls, and the ceilings, are seemly covered with cobwebs! Ewwww. I also saw the dust on the top of my refrigerator and various cabinets. Also ewwww. Sigh. It never ends, does it.

At least house hunting is somewhat exciting. Something has to make up for attempting to keep a house full of muddy dogs spotless. (Our realtor is a saint.)

Now that most of the dust has settled and the waiting game has started I've turned my attention back to my sewing machine. I've been plugging away at my Double Delight.

And on Friday I had the pleasure of attending a Sally Schneider workshop. Sally is lovely and we all had a good time learning to make woven stars.

We taped up our stars for a photo op.

And this is my final product. Not my normal color choices but I loved the border fabric and picked the rest to go with it. It's bright and happy.

Well..... back to house cleaning. It's another icky rainy (maybe snowy!) day and I'm always treading the fine line between muddy yard, muddy dogs, and clean floors. *grumble* :-D

Fantastic design wall! Are you going to have a dedicated studio in your new place?
