Spots

It's been a nice quiet week so far.  But then I figure any week that doesn't involve dentists to be pretty good on the whole.  :-D

Yesterday it was time to make a g-f loaf for The Tramp.  This is the side of the loaf without the big spots of flour.  :-)  The Zojirushi bread machine is the two-paddle type.  Usually the bread comes out with two "peaks" on top.  This time I decided to experiment with setting the paddles in a specific position to start.....and look.  One peak!   What will I get next time?

Charlie can be pretty nippy with my hands and I'm working on getting past that.   He does like the capelets I made to protect my shoulders from "birdy spots" and happily sat with me while I read weblogs on my laptop.  In between nibbles at my ears, he likes to groom my hair.  :-)

Hey!  That tickled!!

Crazy Maisy fusses and fusses when Charlie isn't actually on a cage or play stand.  I don't know why it worries her so.  Just so long as it isn't hunting instincts!

Cracker time!  What you can't see is I'm surrounded by dogs as well.  So we all had a little cracker feast.  Glutino Gluten-Free Multigrain Crackers.  Quite good as a matter of fact.

At dinnertime I sauteed up some garlic, onions, mushrooms and peppers while The Tramp grilled a steak.  Besides one other pepper and two little jalapenos, that there little bit of green is our whole pepper crop from four plants.  We followed the "square foot gardening" instructions and thought we were spot-on, but despite our efforts and enthusiasm the whole thing was pretty much a bust.  :-(  This winter we'll find a better spot to build some new gardens and put real dirt and compost in them.  Yeah!

I finished up these quilt tops yesterday too.

This one has spots.  Tee hee!

Hey Charlie!  No pooping on my keyboard please.  Hmmmmmm....   Not sure a keyboard would recover from that kind of spot.  Can you imagine the response at the Genius Bar?  lol

And in The Sandbox today, after doing another practice piece, I started the quilting on Lilly Pilly.  Not too bad.  I'm hoping the all-over effect will hide the flaws.  :-)  I can tell you one thing for sure though.  NEVER leave your needle down in the fabric and go downstairs for dinner.  I have the sewing machine oil spot on the quilt to prove it.  Sigh.  Lesson learned.

So sorry about the oil. Quilting is great though.

Your quilting looks amazing...would a little dish soap and a q-tip remove the oil...lets hope so as it is beautiful!
