Not that I need....

to prove to anyone I've been busy in the sewing room but here it is anyway. :-)

My vice is to swill iced tea (unsweet, decaf) all day long. I usually have a glass by my elbow while I'm sewing. Not so unusual I suppose. To the right of my tea is my jar of basting pins. I take them out of the quilt as I sew and drop them back into the jar. Normal behavior. Right? Click on the photo and look more closely at that glass.

Yep. I sure did!

So I fished them out. Then I saw these!

How long were they in there???? I'll never know! LOL Maybe I need to keep the jar further away from my drink!

The dogs have been as usual. Butting in when they think I need a break. :-)

I did take a break from Christmas sewing to work on this quilted coat. It's a kit I bought over 10 years ago! I never would choose those fabrics now. :-) I can't tell you how much I struggled to get it this far. One of the pattern pieces on the tissue was incomplete, I was shorted on fabric, and the directions are spectacularly bad. SIGH.

I haven't been able to find a fabric for the binding and cuffs yet that even remotely looks good. I guess that's what I get for letting my UFOs get so old!!! Arggghhhh!

Not sweet tea??? How long have you lived in NC? Sweet tea is essential to my daily functioning.
Be careful - that looks dangerous.

I noticed the pins on the bottom in the first pic ... thought, oh my, I wonder how long she's been plunking them in the tea. Does that count as a tea bath? LOL

I'm right there with ya....... only I put threads in my glass. At least they go down easier than pins LOL

Hugs!

I have never used those fancy basting pins...do they work well?
They sure are pretty, especially in drinks!

LOL! I do that too! Drop pins into my drink :) Only my drink is coke, so I usually don't see them until I have finished....ugh!

Those basting pins in the tea are hilarious! Oh, I'm sure to do something like that... Or knock the tea over onto my work. That would be worse! Careful!
